This article discusses the stages and directions of development of digital marketing, which is one of the most important areas of the digital economy in modern conditions. It also provides a comparative analysis of the concepts of digital marketing and traditional marketing, its advantages and potential harms. The article also talks about digital marketing strategy and tourism. A specific combination of the old and new economy and supporting it with specific actions, the history of the development of the digital economy, types of digital marketing, and state policy regarding the digital economy were discussed.
