Maqolada sayohatni mustaqil rejalashtirishni ma’qul ko’radigan sayyohlar segmenti tavsiflangan va o’rganilgan bo’lib, uning rivojlanganlik darajasi va kelajakda turizm sohasida qanday o’zgartirishlarga olib kelishi haqidagi ilmiy farazlar ko’rib chiqilgan. Mustaqil sayyohlarning ehtiyojlari tasniflangan va mustaqil turizmga oid ingliz atamalari toifalangan va izohlangan. Mustaqil turizmning rivojlanishi O’zbekiston Respublikasi uchun qanday iqtisodiy-ijtimoiy manfaatlarga olib kelishi ko’rib chiqilgan.
