Abstract

In the modern era, the rapid development of the tourism industry has had a significant impact
on nearly all sectors of the global economy, particularly on the international hotel services market.
This process is primarily characterized by the introduction of innovative ideas and technologies, as well as the emergence of new approaches aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability. One
of the key trends observed in tourism in recent years is the development of hotel services based on
ecological principles — the concept of eco-hotels. An eco-hotel is an establishment whose
activities are not only focused on providing high-quality service to guests but also on minimizing
environmental impact, using natural resources efficiently, saving energy, reducing waste, and
implementing recycling practices. In developed countries such as the USA, Germany, Sweden,
Japan, and Singapore, eco-hotels have become widespread, and their activities are actively
supported by governments. Eco-hotels contribute not only to environmental safety but also to
creating a healthier and safer living environment for guests. Thus, eco-hotels have proven in
practice to be a comprehensive approach that combines not only economic benefits but also social
and environmental advantages.
