Abstract

This article examines the conceptual foundations for enhancing the export
potential of regions, including its formation stages and development trends. The study explores
the economic essence of export potential from the perspectives of classical, neoclassical, and
modern economic theories, and substantiates its relationship with regional development factors.
Export potential is interpreted as a complex system comprising production resources,
infrastructure, innovation capacity, institutional environment, and the level of integration into
global markets. The paper analyzes the evolution of export potential from a resource-based model
to an innovation-driven and competitive model. Furthermore, key directions and mechanisms for
improving regional export potential under conditions of globalization and digital transformation
are identified.
