Abstract

This study examines the assessment of natural and recreational resources in
different regions and their rational use from both scientific and practical perspectives. The research
results indicate that various approaches exist for evaluating recreational resources, incorporating
natural-climatic, historical-cultural, and socio-economic aspects. Particularly, economic valuation
plays a crucial role in the effective management and conservation of recreational resources.
Additionally, the study highlights the necessity of assessing natural and recreational
resources based on medical-biological, aesthetic, technological, and economic indicators. In a
market economy, it is essential to accurately determine the value of natural resources and ensure
their sustainable use. Therefore, the study discusses ways to improve the system of natural and
recreational resource assessment and their role in the development of tourism infrastructure. The
findings of this research provide a scientific basis for the efficient utilization of natural resources,
ensuring ecological sustainability, and developing regional growth strategies.
